The AI security gateway
Every model call.
Screened, evaluated, traced.
Verity sits between your application and any LLM provider to detect prompt attacks, enforce your policies, evaluate answer groundedness, and give you full visibility into every request.

A live preview against the real gateway on this site. The full playground — grounding checks, example scenarios, trace detail — lives on its own page.
Calls the same /v1/chat/completions gateway that screens real traffic (mock model on this public site).
Measured, not promised.
Held-out benchmark: 45 prompts the model never trained on — 25 fresh attacks in new phrasings (including multilingual and spacing-obfuscated), 20 deliberately hard benign near-misses. Threshold checked on a separate 16-prompt validation set. Reproduce it from the repository with python scripts/run_benchmarks.py; full data in benchmarks.json. These are internal measurements on a small set — a signal, not an independent security certification.
Why recall, precision and F1 differ: they are three different ratios — the gateway missed 2 attacks (recall 23/25), flagged 1 benign prompt (precision 23/24), and F1 is the harmonic mean of recall and precision. Raw counts are in the cards above and in benchmarks.json.
Heuristic patterns caught 1 of the 25 held-out attacks — they only fire on attacks phrased like known patterns. On novel wording they are a safety net, not a shield — which is why the learned layer exists.
The trained model generalizes to new phrasings. Per-category recall on this run — injection, impersonation, data theft, multilingual, spacing, harmful content: 100%; social engineering: 80%. Weakest class: fraud (67%).
The training set is a prototype baseline (568 examples, including Hindi, Hinglish, Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and several Indian languages, plus emotional-manipulation cases) and grows through the corrections loop. On a 50-prompt multilingual pilot set it scored full recall with no false alarms; per-language claims wait for a larger independent evaluation. False-positive rate is 5% at the gateway on deliberately hard benign English prompts (the base filter alone flags 10%; a contextual layer then releases discussion and translation cases it can prove are not execution requests). The faithfulness heuristic (the judge’s offline fallback) scores 75% verdict accuracy on an 8-case mini-eval in benchmarks.json (unsupported-answer precision 1.0, recall 0.5); the LLM judge is primary in live mode. No filter can guarantee complete protection — Verity reduces risk and records evidence; it does not eliminate either.
A security layer between your app and any model.
Verity inspects every request and response, applies security and business logic, evaluates groundedness, and logs structured traces for complete visibility.

Verity exposes an OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint, so the integration is a base-URL swap—not an application rewrite.
- FastAPI proxy gateway
- Mock mode works without an API key
- Business-policy enforcement via policy_context
- Faithfulness grading via grounding_context
- Blocked requests return a structured 400: blocked_by_verity_guard / blocked_by_verity_policy
- Traces are admin-only: /v1/traces needs VERITY_ADMIN_KEY and is disabled when no key is set
- Public-endpoint abuse controls: 20k-char input cap, per-client rate limit
- Graceful fallback when judge or classifier is unavailable

What has shipped.
The current repository is working software, not a concept page. These are the implemented milestones and the next engineering targets.
OpenAI-compatible proxy, prompt-injection heuristics, SQLite trace store, and dashboard.
Structured faithfulness verdicts with a heuristic fallback for mock mode and outages.
Naive Bayes over word unigrams and bigrams, layered with rules and shipped weights.
Per-request policy enforcement: prohibited actions are blocked before the model can comply, and non-compliant answers are blocked before the user.
Classifier trained on a growing dataset (200 examples) across nine abuse families, a red-team suite in the test pipeline, and a published held-out benchmark.
Input normalization and character n-grams defeat respelling tricks. Field-found attacks enter a corrections loop — human-reviewed and benchmark-gated — before any retrained model ships; unreviewed data never trains the model.
Per-endpoint usage visibility, then Slack or webhook notifications for risky events.
Trust, stated plainly.
Verity inspects AI traffic, so its own behavior has to be inspectable too.
Full source, training data, and benchmark scripts are public under the MIT license: github.com/KARTIKEYSINGH009/verity. Found a bypass? That is a contribution — new attacks enter the reviewed corrections loop and make the next model stronger.
Verity classifies content and enforces declared policy on requests and answers. It is not an authorization system: sensitive actions (refunds, transfers, record changes) must also be permission-checked at your tool and backend boundary. Never let a model answer alone authorize one.
Three contexts, three distinct answers.
Pilot or self-hosted: traces (inputs, outputs, flags, latency) live in your database under your retention — 30 days by default. In live mode, answer text is sent to your chosen judge model under your provider key.
Traces made with your API key are stored in this site's database and are visible only to you, in your dashboard.
No account: requests run against a mock model and are logged to the same database, pruned after 30 days like all traces — but attached to no account, visible in no dashboard, and the admin traces endpoint is admin-only (it needs a key), because traces contain raw prompts.
Found a vulnerability? Please report it through GitHub Security Advisories on the repository instead of opening a public issue.
Work with Verity.
The public demo is free and stays free — it is how developers evaluate the guard. Commercial work is scoped, founder-led, and provisioned manually: you work with the person who built it.
Free, no signup. The playground on this page runs the real gateway in mock mode against published benchmarks. Throw your best injection at it — what it blocks here is what it blocks in production. Try the playground
A scoped review of your support chatbot: your prompts and policies tested against the guard, delivered as a written report — what gets blocked, what slips through, and what to fix. Fixed scope, delivered in days. Book an assessment
Your own Verity deployment in live mode — your model key, your business policies, persistent traces scoped to your key, and a weekly report: attacks blocked, false positives, judge verdicts. Pilots run two to four weeks with success criteria agreed in writing before the start. Start a pilot
There is no self-serve checkout yet, deliberately: pilots are onboarded manually so each deployment is verified end-to-end before traffic flows. Engagement pricing is set after a short scoping conversation.
Where Verity fits.
The beachhead: storefront and D2C bots that take refund, discount and account questions — exactly the prompts attackers jailbreak into unauthorized offers. Verity enforces the policies the bot was never supposed to break.
Tools that read tickets, docs and inboxes ingest untrusted text all day. Screening every role — including tool outputs and retrieved context — catches instructions smuggled into that content before the agent acts on them.
Intake, onboarding and servicing flows where a hallucinated promise is a compliance incident. Grounding checks flag answers that outrun the provided context, and traces give auditors the record.
Frequently asked questions.
What is included in the free plan?
A personal account on this site: your own API key, a dashboard with your requests and traces, and gateway screening (guard, policy checks, grounding evaluation) against a mock model — so you can integrate and evaluate end-to-end. Free keys are limited to 1,000 requests per month, enforced by the gateway.
Can I use my own model provider?
Yes — on a pilot deployment. Verity is OpenAI-compatible and provider-agnostic: during provisioning your deployment is pointed at your provider (OpenAI, Groq, Anthropic-compatible endpoints, self-hosted) with your key, which never passes through any Verity form or chat.
Do you store my data?
It depends on the context, so here is each one. Free account on this site: traces from your API key are stored in the site's database (hosted in Singapore), visible only to you in your dashboard, pruned after 30 days, and never used for training. Public playground (no account): requests are logged and pruned the same way, but attached to no account and shown to no one — the admin traces endpoint is admin-only (it needs a key). Your own deployment (pilot or self-hosted): traces live in your database, under your retention settings and your control, and never pass through this site.
What are the current limitations?
Streaming responses are not passed through yet. The free tier runs a mock model. Self-serve live deployments (Pro) are in development — today, live traffic means a founder-led pilot. Verity also is not an authorization system: permission-check sensitive actions in your own backend.
Can I get a dedicated deployment?
Yes — that is exactly what a pilot is: your own deployment, keys and database, isolated by architecture, with weekly founder reports and success criteria agreed in writing.
